On ___________________ a non-refundable deposit in the amount of $500.00 was placed to hold the following puppy:

This deposit will hold the puppy stated above until it turns 8 weeks of age, at which time arrangements for pickup/delivery are to be made. The purchase contract is to be signed and final payment is due at the time you take possession of the puppy or if being shipped, prior to shipping. Unless other arrangements have been made prior, if the puppy is still in the care of Lewis’ Great Danes past 10 weeks of age a fee of $20.00 per week will be added to the final payment, this is to cover expenses such as food and further vaccines the puppy will need during this time.
When a deposit is made, we no longer advertise this puppy for sale.
If you change your mind about the purchase of your puppy at any time you will lose all monies paid toward the puppy and the puppy will be relisted as available.
If this deposit is being made before the puppies are born and we cannot provide the color/sex that you want. This deposit can be moved to our next available litter. We will NOT return your deposit.
Once you have picked your puppy, if that puppy dies or is diagnosed with a life threatening illness while still in the care of Lewis’Great Danes. You may choose another available puppy of equal quality, from this litter or a future litter, the deposit amount will NOT be returned to you.

Sales Contract
This contract is entered into between Lewis’ Great Danes (hereinafter "SELLER")

BUYER AND SELLER AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS OF THE SALE
BUYER understands that full payment is due at the time BUYER takes possession of the puppy. Balance of purchase price is to be paid by Cash or Paypal, if being paid by Paypal it must be paid 48 hours before time of pick up.
This puppy is being sold with limited registration application. The puppy is not registered until this application has been completed and mailed back to AKC or is completed online. Buyer agrees to register this puppy within 14 days from the date of sale.
This puppy is being sold on a spay/neuter contract, with spay/neuter being required no later than 18 months of age. Proof of spay/neuter must be provided to the SELLER in the form of a certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian and must be received by the SELLER no later than ____________________________.
SELLER certifies that, upon BUYER'S receipt of this puppy, the puppy is in good health and has been vaccinated and wormed per the accompanying heath record. SELLER certifies that this puppy has had a physical examination performed by a licensed veterinarian; proof of this has been provided to the BUYER.
BUYER agrees to make an appointment for this puppy prior to him/her going to their new home or within 72 hrs. It is the buyer’s responsibility to do this while you are under the 72 hour guarantee time. Please keep in mind that we only guarantee your new puppy for 72 hours from the date of sale and only cover life threatening illness for a puppy replacement of the same value when one becomes available. WE DO NOT GIVE CASH REFUNDS! Life threatening illness means something discovered that will cause death to your new puppy only. In order for this guarantee to be warranted, the buyerer must provide Seller with a written and signed statement from a veterinarian that declares the puppy unhealthy, stating exactly the condition of the puppy. The puppy must then be returned immediately to the seller.
This puppy has a 24 month genetic health guarantee, provisions of this guarantee are as follows: If the puppy develops hip dysplasia or a life threatening (meaning the puppy will die) genetic defect within 24 months of the puppy’s date of birth the Buyer must contact the Seller within one week of diagnosis. The Buyer must provide written and signed documentation from a licensed veterinarian stating such defect. Seller reserves the right to have a second veterinarian of Seller’s choice examine the puppy before any guarantee is given. If the defect is deemed to be genetic the Buyer is eligible for a replacement puppy of equal value, when the breeder has another litter. The replacement puppy will be chosen by the breeder. We DO NOT GUARANTEE THE SIZE, COLOR, BREEDING OR SHOW POTENTIAL OF YOUR NEW PUPPY!
SELLER asserts and SELLER makes no guarantee regarding loss of the puppy because of accidental death, theft, sickness, etc., or any other loss beyond SELLERS control. Under no conditions and at no time during the life of the puppy will SELLER pay or assist in paying veterinary expenses after the puppy is purchased, including any such expense directly or indirectly related to any inheritable/genetic defects.
BUYER certifies by signing this agreement that the puppy will live with the BUYER, will have adequate exercise, proper socialization, nutritious food and necessary annual health care, including vaccines and parasite prevention, from a licensed Veterinarian, BUYER also certifies by signing this agreement that he/she is not acting as an agent in this purchase. BUYER agrees to not sell this puppy to a pet store, kennel, guard dog business or a medical research facility of any kind. This sales contract is non-transferable. Should BUYER relinquish ownership of the puppy, for any reason, this sales contract shall be deemed null and void.
In the event the BUYER is unable to keep the puppy for any reason, the BUYER agrees that the puppy will not be sold, given away or taken to a shelter or rescue facility; the BUYER agrees to immediately contact the SELLER and make arrangements to return the puppy back to the SELLER without financial restitution. If the puppy is returned Buyer must provide the puppy’s AKC registration, which is to be signed as transfer of ownership back to the breeder. Seller must also receive all vaccination records for the puppy.
The following documents have been provided to the buyer and the contents have been discussed.
o Veterinarian signed pre-sale health exam
o Vaccination record, including the next due date
o Worming record
o Copy of signed sales contract
o Puppy Kit – including breed and health literature.
o NuVet Brochures and information
Breeder and buyer have discussed the following:
o Feeding recommendations
o Spay / Neuter per this contract
o Importance of socialization and training
o Return Policy
Buyer and Seller have discussed all the above information and Buyer has had the opportunity to ask any questions. Buyer has received all appropriate documentation as stated above.
I have read the above contact thoroughly and understand and agree with the terms set forth in this document. I understand that this is a binding agreement and will abide by the terms we have agreed upon above. I acknowledge my acceptance of this contract with my signature below.
